How to Use Hanon Effectively (Part 1)
I start by looking at an exercise from the Bartok method that would not be looked at favourably today, but which formed the basis of many pianists’ technique. It involves isolating a finger and lifting it high into the air while keeping the other fingers at key surface. I do not recommend it.
