Chapter 8 - Key Signatures
The sharps and flats that are drawn at the start of every line of music are known as key signatures. Key signatures tell us which sharps and flats to play throughout the piece. The sharps and flats in key signatures are written in a particular order. The order is F C G D A E B for sharps. The mnemonic Father Christmas Gave Dad An Electric Blanket is helpful.
