Subscribing

Please follow these steps in order to sign-up for a subscription:

  • Select a subscription option by clicking on the plan of your choice
  • If you have a voucher, enter the voucher code in the box provided and click "Apply voucher"
  • If you do not have an account with us and are not signed in, enter the email address which you want to use to register your account followed by a password of at least eight characters in the "password" and "password confirmation" boxes
  • If you have chosen an option which required payment, please enter the details of the card that you wish to use in the box provided
  • Click "Sign-up" to complete the subscription process

Frequently asked questions

Is your site secure and / or do you store my credit card details?

Our site uses industry standard 128-bit encryption to protect your information. Furthermore, we do not ever store your card details on our servers or have direct access to them as these are handled directly by Stripe which is a state of the art payments gateway.

How am I billed?

Depending on the subscription option you’ve chosen, you are either billed monthly or annually in advance.

When adding a voucher, I get an error message saying "Voucher isn't valid for this subscription option".

Some vouchers are linked to specific plans therefore you will need to choose a different plan and try adding the voucher again (or use a different voucher which is valid for your chosen plan if you have one).

I get an error saying "User email has already been taken".

This means that your email has already been used to register an account with us therefore you need to sign-in to this account before subscribing. You can reset your password using the "Forgot your password?" link on the sign-in page if you have forgotten your password.

Can I change the credit card I use to pay for my subscription?

Yes, you can change your card details at any time via the “My Account” link once logged-in.

Can I change my subscription?

Yes, you can change your subscription at any time. If you upgrade then you will be charged the difference between your current subscription option and the upgrade option. If you downgrade from an annual subscription to the monthly option then the pro-rata portion of your original subscription fee will be set-off as a credit against future payments.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time or turn off automatic renewals. If you turn off automatic renewals, your subscription will run until the end of the subscription billing period (end of the month or end of the year depending on which subscription option you purchased). Please note that fees for eBooks and Study Editions included within certain subscription options are not refundable. Therefore if you cancel your subscription or turn off renewals, you will continue to have access these publications.

Dashboard

Upon signing-up you will be taken to your dashboard page which can be used to access various functions, including Online Academy content and your eBooks. Most functions are also available throughout the site using the main menu which is accessed by the button on the top left hand side of the screen (next to the logo).

Validate your payment method

Depending on your card issuer, you may be asked to complete an additional validation step via 3D secure. If this is required then you will be automatically taken to a page which will load a pop-up from your card issuer which can be used to complete the validation step.

Confirm your email address

If you registered a new account along with your subscription then you will be sent a confirmation email. You will need to confirm your email address by clicking on the link in the confirmation email in order to access your eBooks. Please check your junk mail / spam folder if you didn't receive this email or use the link provided to resend it.

Accessing content

There are a number of ways to access Online Academy content, the following

  • Wizard - A quick and simple way to find content recommended for you.
  • Browse - Browse all online academy content by category, sub category or author.
  • Search - Search for specific content by categories, keywords and tags.

View my eBooks

Your dashboard features a selection of your eBooks which can be downloaded directly or you can click on the "View All" or "My eBooks" link in the main menu to view your complete library.

Change my account (e.g. email. password)

Click on the "My Account" link on the main menu to view or edit your account details. This page will allow you to change your email and / or your password. If you change your email then you will need to confirm the new address using the link in the confirmation email which will be sent to you. You can also access the details or manage any subscriptions that you have from this page by clicking "Manage".

Edit or manage my subscription

Click on the "My Account" link on the main menu and then on "Manage" for the subscription you wish to edit. You will be taken to a page which lists the details of your subscription and will enable you to perform various functions, including cancelling your subscription, updating your payment card, changing your subscription plan or applying a voucher.

The subscription details page can be accessed from various links and via the "My Account" page. This page displays the details of your current subscription plan and allows you to do the following:

Changing your plan

To change your subscription plan, click on the plan you wish to change to under "Change plan", enter a voucher code (if you have one) and click Update. If you upgrade your plan, you will be charged the difference between your current subscription option and the upgrade option. If you downgrade from an annual subscription to the monthly option then the pro-rata portion of your original subscription fee will be set-off as a credit against future payments.

Cancelling your subscription

You can use the links provided to turn off automatic renewals or cancel your subscription immediately. If you turn off automatic renewals, your subscription will run until the end of the subscription billing period (end of the month or end of the year depending on which subscription option you purchased). Please note that fees for eBooks and Study Editions included within certain subscription options are not refundable. Therefore if you cancel your subscription or turn off renewals, you will continue to have access these publications.

Renewing your subscription

You can re-enable automatic renewals using the link provided if you have turned off automatic renewals and would like your subscription to renew at the end of the subscription billing period.

Update card details or use a different card

You can change the card associated with your subscription using the link provided under "Payment details". Enter the details of the card you wish to use and click "Update card". Depending on your card issuer, you may be asked to complete an additional validation step via 3D secure. If this is required then you will be automatically taken to a page which will load a pop-up from your card issuer which can be used to complete the validation step.

Add a voucher

You can add a voucher without changing your plan simply by ignoring the "Change plan" options, entering the voucher code in the box provided and clicking "Update".

Edit my account details

Please note that you need to use the "My Account" page (accessible via the main menu button on the top right hand side of the screen) to change your email or password.
