The Waltz

In this main section of the piece, we’ll practise the right hand melody first, supported by the reduced bass line. Simplifying the left hand allows us to concentrate on learning the right hand, while still permitting us to hear how the bass line supports and influences the melody. Afterwards, we’ll work on the left hand accompaniment by itself. Finally, we’ll consider the pedalling, and suggest some novel ways to practise hands together.
