This hysterical circus piece makes an effective recital choice and works perfectly as an encore. Enjoy the irregular phrase lengths, and the sudden shift to F# major (bar 47), the furthest key from the home key of C major. Marked prestissimo, be sure not to start so fast that the stringendo towards the end becomes impossible.
